Amazon Ads has announced a beta version of a redesigned Campaign Manager intended to bring sponsored ads and multimedia campaigns using Amazon DSP into one centralized workspace. The announcement describes the product as a single command center for planning, launching, managing, and measuring campaigns across Amazon advertising solutions.

This is an important workflow change for advertisers that currently move between separate campaign types, reports, or accounts. However, the feature is not yet broadly available. Amazon says the beta is limited to a select group of advertisers and partners, with a broader rollout planned later this year.

What changed

The revamped Campaign Manager is designed to combine campaign operations and reporting in one interface. Amazon’s description includes sponsored ads alongside video, display, audio, and other multimedia solutions connected with Amazon DSP. The workspace is intended to provide cross-product campaign views, shared data tables, standardized reporting, and a consolidated KPI bar.

Amazon also highlights several operating features:

  • Smart search: Advertisers can filter campaign data using natural-language-style criteria, such as impression, purchase, budget, or delivery conditions.
  • Guidance cards: The interface can surface suggested actions, including opportunities to advertise products that are not currently promoted.
  • Multi-account management: Eligible users managing several accounts may be able to switch between them within the same workspace.
  • Universal campaign creation: A shared “+” campaign button is intended to support campaign launches across products.
  • Integrated measurement: Campaign data and selected performance indicators are presented together across supported advertising solutions.

Amazon says existing campaign data, permissions, and reporting are automatically integrated for eligible users. The announcement also identifies AI as a component of the new experience, including recommendations and workflow assistance.

Why it matters

For brands running Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, display, video, audio, or Amazon DSP activity, the practical appeal is less about adding another campaign type and more about reducing operational friction. A consolidated view could make it easier to compare activity, identify pacing issues, and move from diagnosis to action without navigating multiple tools.

This may be particularly relevant to agencies and brand teams responsible for several storefronts or accounts. Cross-account access and shared reporting could reduce the need to assemble performance views manually. For smaller teams, a simpler interface may make broader campaign coverage more manageable, although the announcement does not establish that the beta will improve return on ad spend or conversion rates.

Amazon reports that advertisers in early testing who used smart search reduced bid-optimization workflow time by 26%. That figure comes from an internal Amazon Advertising report and reflects a comparison of U.S. advertisers before and after adopting the feature. Amazon notes that results may vary by advertiser and market conditions. It should therefore be treated as an early workflow finding, not a performance guarantee.

Who may be affected

The immediate audience is a select group of advertisers and partners invited into the beta. Amazon lists availability across a broad set of markets in North America, South America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific, but geographic listing does not mean every advertiser in those locations currently has access.

Advertisers using sponsored ads and/or multimedia solutions with Amazon DSP are the groups most likely to benefit if and when they receive access. Larger brands and agencies may have more complex account structures to test. Smaller sellers may see fewer immediate benefits if their activity is limited to one or two sponsored ad formats.

Access also appears to depend on eligibility and onboarding. Amazon instructs interested advertisers to contact their Amazon Ads executive rather than presenting the beta as an open, self-serve enrollment.

What sellers should do now

  • Check eligibility: Ask your Amazon Ads representative whether your account or agency is included in the beta and what onboarding requirements apply.
  • Map current workflows: Document where your team manages sponsored ads, DSP activity, reporting, permissions, and budget reviews today. This will make it easier to identify whether a unified workspace would remove duplicate work.
  • Review account access: Confirm which users and agencies need visibility across accounts, and verify that current permissions support the operating model you want to test.
  • Define baseline metrics: Record the time required for common tasks such as bid reviews, pacing checks, reporting, and campaign launches. Separate time savings from advertising performance when evaluating the beta.
  • Validate reporting: Compare consolidated views with existing reports before changing decision processes. Confirm that the KPIs your team relies on are available and interpreted consistently across campaign types.
  • Keep existing controls: Do not assume recommendations or smart workflows should be applied automatically. Continue reviewing budgets, bids, targeting, creative, and attribution in the context of each campaign.

Markitlift takeaway

Campaign Manager could become a meaningful operating-layer change for advertisers managing multiple Amazon Ads products, particularly agencies and brands with fragmented reporting workflows. For now, the key fact is availability: this remains a limited beta, not a universally accessible replacement for existing campaign-management processes. Sellers should use the announcement to assess workflow gaps, ask their Amazon Ads contact about eligibility, and establish measurement baselines before treating the new workspace as a performance or efficiency solution.
